Our Ministry Story
In 2018, Norm and Joanne Bonk, partnered with Adult & Teen Challenge BC (ATCBC) to start Love Reins Ranch Okanagan on property ATCBC had recently acquired in Lake Country. It was an answer to prayer and an open door to start Love Reins Ranch as an outreach to the community and a horse assisted ministry to the men at Adult and Teen Challenge. Since 2019 there have been thousands of visits by children, families, friends and the men of of ATCBC. The purpose of this ranch is for ministering Gods love and forgiveness while giving smiles and hope.
In early 2024 we started receiving phone calls and emails from alumni and friends of Circle Square Ranch Wolf Creek in Saskatchewan to see if we could help secure this Saskatchewan property for continued ministry to children and families. Current ownership had decided to close this operation and they were open to discussion. This operation had started under the ownership of 100 Huntley Street (Crossroads Christian Communication), but it had been birthed in the heart of Norm Bonk as a young teen to have 'kids from the city learn how to ride'. His family shared his vision and the ranch opened in 1985. As of june 2024 the ownership of this SK ranch came under the ownership of Registered charity Debt of Love Missionary Ministries. Norm is the president. Plans to reopen the ranch are set for spring of 2025.
It is a new day and the ranch has a new name, Love Reins Ranch Wolf Creek.
After a life time of global ministry including preaching, singing, and ranch camp ministry, Norm still finds the energy to pour into the lives of children, youth and adults. Joanne shares a heart for ministry and together, they understand the importance of planting seeds of the gospel into the lives of children. They count it an honor to pour into the men attending addiction recovery and always enjoy sharing the gospel in music and word with churches across the country. god is still at work and has opened the doors and brought others into partnership to see the fulfillment of

Norm & Joanne Bonk have been instrumental in starting two ranches under the names of
Love Reins Ranch - Okanagan (2020) and
Love Reins Ranch - Wolf Creek (2024)

We are excited to see God at work in both of these ranches and know that is only through HIM, lives change.
